A couple hours south of Los Angeles you'll find San Diego's Pacific Beach, home of great surf and the Crystal Pier Hotel, which offers cottage accommodations actually located on the pier, over the water. It's the only thing like it in Southern California. This photo is a view from the second floor of the main hotel structure. Click photo to view an extra large version in separate window.
